Zunil classic daily huipil.

This circa-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two warp-striped white cotton blend panels with shadow weaving in weft stripes. These panels are joined by a multi-colored, hand embroidered decorative seams. This huipil is faithfully done in a traditional style and colors. The collar is trimmed with a hand-embroidered buttonhole stitch. Zunil huipils are now rare without a heavy yoke of machine embroidery. This classic example is in very good condition. It was acquired from the tienda of Sra. Bonifacia Bocó in the Mercado de Artesanos in Antigua. W 73 x L 86 cm. (19-170) $ 100 or best offer.
