Zunil daily huipil.

This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two predominantly white cotton blend, warp-striped panels. This huipil is faithfully done in a traditional style. The head opening is surrounded by hand embroidered flowers employing the French knot technique. Zunil huipils in the traditional style, without a heavy yoke of machine embroidery, are now rare. This classic example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Petronila Mendez Bocó at the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua. W 87 x L 77 cm. (15-214) $ 95. OBO
