Totonicapan mantel (table cloth).

This circa-1980 mantel was hand woven on a foot treadle loom in two cotton panels. These panels feature stripes of fine ikat, a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dying process similar to tie-dye. It is very large and in excellent condition. It was acquired from Ema and Carmen Tepeu of San Pedro Sacatepequez (G) at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua Guatemala. W174 x L229 cm. (9-239) $140. OBO
