Totonicapan rebozo (shawl).
This circa-1970 rebozo was hand woven on a back
strap loom in one warp striped panel. Most of the fabric is cotton, but five warp stripes are silk. The cotton
warp stripes are decorated with complex ikat dye patterns. The fringe is very finely hand knotted. These partial
silk Totonicapan rebozos are no longer made and are increasingly rare. This excellent example is in very good
condition. It was acquired from Rosa Christiana Sepac of Panajachel. W76 x L200 cm plus long fringes. (5-167) $ 160. OBO
