Totonicapan silk rebozo. (shawl).
This circa-1980 rebozo was hand woven on a back strap loom one warp-striped panel of silk and cotton. The cotton stripes are decorated with ikat
chevrons in indigo. The fringes are hand knotted. These partial silk Totonicapan rebozos are no longer produced and are increasingly rare. This
fine example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sra. Carmen Tepeú at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua.
