Totonicapan huipil.

This circa-1980 huipil is believed to have been used ceremonially. It was hand woven on a back-strap loom in two cotton base panels, white below and indigo above. These panels are decorated with fine ikat dyed weft-stripes in indigo. Totonicapan huipils in this style, length and using indigo are rare. This special example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sr. Sebastian Huarcas in Solola. W 82 x L 105 cm. (20-62) $ 150 or best offer.
