Totonicapan mantel (table cloth).

This circa-1980 mantel was hand woven on a foot treadle loom in two weft striped cotton panels. These panels feature fine ikat in indigo, a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dying process similar to tie-dye. It is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sra. Sofia Monroy Tepeu of San Pedro Sacatepequez (G) in Antigua. W 103 x L 145 cm. (20-37) $ 95 or best offer.
