Totonicapan vintage faja (sash).
This circa-1960 faja was hand woven on a table loom in a combination of cotton and silk. The use of silk indicates that it was likely worn
ceremonially. The style of these fajas have not changed significantly in over 100 years, so it is difficult to tell its age. It features a great
variety of design motifs – geometric, people, the chalice, and many others. It is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sra. Maria Ramos
at her tienda in Chichicastenango. W 7.5 x L 166 cm plus ties. (19-197) $ 125 or best offer.
