Totonicapan cargador. (carrying cloth)

This circa-1980 cargador was hand woven on a back strap loom in two weft striped cotton panels. These stripes feature simple ikat in indigo and ixcaco, hand spun natural brown cotton. This fine example is in very good condition. It was acquired from an important private collection in Antigua Guatemala. W 113 x L 110 cm. (19-175) $ 125 or best offer.
