Totonicapan corte (wrap skirt).
This corte was hand woven on a foot treadle loom in one cotton blend panel.
This corte features intricate ikat dye patterns in indigo. Ikat is a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles
that employs a resist dying process similar to tie-dye before the thread is woven. The top photograph shows only
a third of this corte. This beautiful example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from an anonymous private
