Totonicapan hupil.

This huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well balanced black cotton panels. These panels are decorated with horizontal bands of supplementary brocade featuring universal diamond and other geometric motifs. The collar is trimmed with a hand embroidered chain stitch. This huipil is in a style now rarely produced and, therefore, rare. It is in excellent condition. This example was acquired from Sra. Blanca Alvarado at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua.
