This circa-1980 rebozo was hand woven on a back strap loom one panel of silk and cotton. The cotton
warp stripes are decorated with complex ikat patterns in indigo natural dye. The fringe is hand knotted. These partial silk
Totonicapan rebozos are no longer produced and are increasingly rare. This very fine example is in excellent condition. It
was acquired from Sra. Carmen Tepeú at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua. W 72 x L 194 cm plus fringes on each end.
