Totonicapan faja (sash).

This post-1980 faja was hand woven on a table loom in cotton. The style of these fajas has not changed significantly in over 100 years, so it is difficult to tell its age. It features a great variety of design motifs in supplementary brocade – geometric, birds, hands and many others. It is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sr. Pedro Xiloj, the belt specialist at the Chichicastenango market. W 6.5 x L 225 cm plus ties. (16-121) $ 60. OBO
