Totonicapán rebozo (shawl).

This circa-1980 rebozo was hand woven on a back strap loom in one weft striped cotton panel. These stripes include those with complex ikat, a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dying process similar to tie-dye. This rebozo is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sofia Monroy Tepeu at the La Fuente market in Antigua Guatemala. W55 x L142 cm plus fringes. (14-83) $60. OBO
