Totonicapan daily huipil.

This pre-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well balanced indigo dyed base panels. These panels are decorated with horizontal bands of supplementary brocade featuring universal diamond and other geometric motifs. The collar and arm holes are decorated with machine embroidered flowers. This huipil is in a style no longer produced and, therefore, rare. It is in excellent condition. This fine example was acquired from Sras. Ema and Carmen Tepeu of San Pedro Sacatepequez (G) at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua. W 79 x L 58 cm. (14-171) Was $115. Now $95 or best offer.
