Totonicapan rebozo (shawl).

W72 x L128 cm plus pompoms. This pre-1980 rebozo was hand woven on a back strap loom one panel of silk and cotton. Silk is used in the mauve warp stripes. The cotton warp stripes are decorated with complex ikat patterns, some in indigo natural dye. The fringe is hand knotted on both ends. Totonicapan rebozos that use silk are increasingly rare. This example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from the Nim Po’t Collection of Antigua Guatemala. (10-360) $ 320. OBO
