Todos Santos Cuchumatán daily huipil. W87 x L144 cm opened. This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in 3 red cotton panels with the center panel slightly wider (39 cm). Red is the traditional base color. The collar design with a sunburst of narrow zigzag applique ribbon is typical of Todos Santos. The supplemental brocade decoration features rows of geometric designs, including a variation on the universal diamonds. The arm and neck holes are finished with velvet trim.
