This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in 3 blue cotton base panels. The collar decoration with narrow zigzag appliqué ribbon is typical of Todos Santos huipils. The supplementary weft brocade decoration features universal diamond and other geometric motifs. The arm and neck holes are finished with velvet trim. This example is in very good condition.
