Todos Santos Cuchumatan vintage daily huipil. W78 x L141 cm opened. This circa-1960 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three predominantly red and white striped cotton base panels. These panels are heavily decorated with supplementary brocade featuring various geometric motifs. The center panel is wider and more extensively decorated than the side panels. Typical of Todos Santos huipils, the head opening is surrounded by rickrack. This lovely example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Julio Cesar Ajanel of Panajachel. (10-198) $ 120. Sold.
