[Note that we are informed that the correct terminology is not “Tehuana” as that leaves out Juchitan and other nearby towns, whose styles are subtly different, but often called “Tehuana”.] Machine embroidery on purple satin. Polka-dot lining on both. Our correspondent at the Oaxaca Textile Museum says, “represents a recent style, using multicolored threads in the sewing-machine stitching.” Both items are in like new condition. It was acquired from the collection of Yuri Saldyt. Blouse is W 66 x L 55 cm. Skirt is 80 cm waist and 104 cm length including the lace fringe. (16-142) $ 450. OBO
