Tecpan ceremonial huipil.

This huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two wide warp-striped cotton panels. The surface decoration is supplementary brocade featuring the plumed serpent, bird and universal diamond motifs. Tecpan ceremonial huipils are rare. This example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sra. Carmen Tepeú at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua Guatemala. W 106 x L 58 cm. (18-107) $140. OBO
