Tecpan daily huipil.

This pre-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two warp striped cotton base panels. The brown warp stripes are “ixcaco”, hand-spun naturally brown cotton. The supplementary brocade features plumed serpent, universal diamond and bird motifs. It is in the ceremonial style and is in very good condition. Acquired from Sra. Bonifacia Mendez Bocó at her “tienda” in the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua. W 78 x L 58 cm. (16-182) $ 175. OBO
