This pre-1970 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two warp striped cotton panels. It is in the ceremonial style and has some silk brocade. The supplementary brocade features plumed serpent, universal diamond and lightning motifs. It is in very good condition. Acquired from Juana Mateo Rosales in Panajachel. W86 x L68 cm. (14-58) $ 200.
