Tecpan daily huipil.

This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two very well-balanced blue cotton base panels. These panels are decorated with horizontal bands of supplementary weft brocade featuring bird, universal diamond and floral motifs. The head and arm openings are trimmed with velveteen. This classic example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Maria Isabel Gonzales of Patzicia at the “bomberos” market in Panajachel. W82 x L60 cm. (10-197) $ 95.
