Tecpan daily huipil. W84 x L105 cm opened. This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well-balanced blue cotton base panels. The blue appears to be the natural dye indigo. These panels are decorated with horizontal bands of supplementary brocade featuring bird and universal diamond motifs. The collar is trimmed with hand crochet. This lovely example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Petrona Cunes Matzar of Santa Catarina Palopo. (10-193) $ 90. SOLD.
