This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two cotton base panels. The surface decoration is supplementary weft brocade featuring vertical zigzags. This example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Bonifacia Mendez Bocó of Santa Maria de Jesus in her space at the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua Guatemala. W87 x L63 cm. (11-122) $ 65.
