Tactic / Tamahú daily huipil.

This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three white cotton base panels. These panels are decorated with supplementary brocade featuring what I call lightning bolt motifs – or the plumed serpent motif presented vertically. The arm holes are trimmed with velvet. This example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Bonifacia Mendez Bocó at the Artesanos market in Antigua Guatemala. W 89 x L 114 cm opened. (11-121) $ 65. OBO
