Sumpango blusa (blouse).

This post-1980 blusa features hand embroidery on a white commercial cotton base. The head and arm openings are trimmed with hand embroidered chain stitching. The main feature of Sumpango huipils and blusas is the rows of hand embroidery circling the head opening in village specific patterns. This unique example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Petronila Mendez Bocó at the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua. W 79 cm. (15-159) $ 120. OBO
