Soloma daily huipil.
This post-1980 daily huipil would more appropriately be called a blusa (blouse) because its base is a commercial cotton fabric called “manta”.
It features pleated manta fabric around the neck hole to form a collar. The neck hole is surrounded by many rows of applique ribbon, threads and lace. Soloma
huipils are rare. It is in excellent condition and was acquired from Ema and Carmen Tepeu of San Pedro Sacatepequez (G). W90 x L 198 cm opened. (4-410) $ 55. OBO
