Sololá rebozo (shawl).

This post-2000 rebozo was hand woven on a back strap loom in one warp striped cotton panel. It features intricate ikat dye patterns in the warp strips, a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dying process of grouped threads before they are woven. It is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sra. Paulina Ramos of Sololá at her stall in front of the Casa de Huespedes San Francisco on Calle Santander in Panajachel. W 59 x L 170 cm plus fringes. (21-78) $ 120 or best offer.
