Solola vintage daily huipil.

This pre-1970 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two cotton panels. Solola daily huipils are unique in that they have sleeves and are gathered at the neck to form a collar. This huipil features simple but extensive ikat dye patterns in indigo in the warp stripes. It also features supplementary brocade in the universal diamond motif. It was acquired from the collection of an ex-US diplomat in Guatemala. It is in excellent condition. W 46 (across shoulders) x L 80 x sleeves 39 cm. (16-18) $ 140. OBO.
