Solola mantel (table cloth).

This pre-1980 mantel was hand woven on a back-strap loom in two warp-striped cotton panels that are joined by a hand embroidered decorative seam. Much of the warp-striping is in ixcaco, hand spun, undyed naturally brown cotton. The wide, dark warp-stripes are indigo dyed. Other stripes have simple ikat dye patterns in indigo. This fine example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from a private collection in Santa Fe, NM. W 110 x L 176 cm. (16-162) $150. OBO
