Sololá camisa (men’s shirt).

This post-1980 men’s daily shirt was tailored from material produced on a back strap loom It features extensive ikat dye patterns. Western styling with snaps. Ikat is a process where groups of threads are tie-dyed before they are woven in such a way as to create specific patterns. This example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Paulina Ramos of Sololá at her stall on Calle Santander in Panajachel. Width at shoulders – 47 cm, length – 67 cm, sleeves – 52 cm. (15-204) $ 95. OBO
