Sololá rebozo (shawl).

This post-1980 rebozo was hand woven on a back strap loom in two warp striped cotton panels joined by an elaborate embroidered decorative seam. It features intricate ikat dye patterns in the warp strips, a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dying process similar to tie-dye. It is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Paulina Ramos of Sololá at her stall in front of the Casa de Huespedes San Francisco on Calle Santander in Panajachel. W59 x L160 cm plus fringes. (14-82) Was $ 160. Now $125 OBO.
