Sololá rebozo (shawl).

This post-1980 rebozo was hand woven on a back strap loom in one warp striped cotton panel. It features intricate ikat dye patterns in the warp strips, a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dying process similar to tie-dye. It is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Paulina Ramos of Sololá at her stall in front of the Casa de Huespedes San Francisco on Calle Santander in Panajachel. W47 x L162 cm plus fringes. (12-227) $ 80. OBO
