Sololá daily huipil.

This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two warp-striped cotton base panels that feature complex ikat dye patterns. The surface decoration is supplementary weft brocade featuring universal diamond and plant motifs. This huipil has the traditional Sololá gathered collar. Sololá huipils are the more common of the two huipils in Guatemala that have sleeves. This example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sra.
