Solola cargador (carrying cloth).
This post-1980 cargador was hand woven on a back strap loom in two warp striped cotton base panels. The panels are joined
by a “randa”, a hand embroidered decorative seam. It features fine and extensive ikat, a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dying
process similar to tie-dye. It is in very good condition. It was acquired from Paulina Ramos of Sololá at her space in front of the Casa de Huespedes San
Francisco on Calle Santander in Panajachel. W 121 X L 124 cm. (11-215) Was $ 95. Now $ 80 OBO.
