Sololá daily huipil.
This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two warp-striped cotton base panels that feature simple ikat dye patterns. The surface decoration
is supplementary weft brocade featuring bird and plant motifs. Sololá huipils are the more common of the two huipils in Guatemala that have sleeves. This
example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Paulina Ramos of Sololá at the Casa de Huespedos San Francisco on Calle Santander in Panajachel.
W60 x L72 + S19. (11-112) $ 100.
