Sololá boy’s cofradia ceremonial chaqueta (boy's ceremonial jacket).
This pre-1980 ceremonial jacket was tailored from material hand woven on a back strap loom in panels of un-dyed white wool. It is decorated with black appliqué.
The design on the back features matched quetzal birds. This jacket has been worn in ceremonies of the Rosario cofradia society in Sololá. Authentic examples
such as this are rare. It is partially lined with blue corduroy and has zippered interior pockets. This chaqueta is in good condition. It was acquired from
Paulina Ramos of Sololá at her tienda in front of the Casa de Huespedes San Francisco on Calle Santander in Panajachel. Shoulders 30 cm x length (shoulder to
