Santiago Chimaltenango faja (sash) W7.5 x L300 cm plus fringe. This post-1980 faja was hand woven in cotton, probably on a special table loom made to produce belts. It is decorated in supplementary brocade featuring several variations on the universal diamond motif. Each end has a hand knotted fringe of the warp threads. These sashes are uncommon if not rare.
