Santiago Atitlán rebozo / perraje (small shawl or utility cloth).

This post-1980 rebozo was hand woven on a back strap loom in one warp striped cotton panel. It features extensive and complex ikat dye patterns, a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dying process similar to tie-dye, and hand knotted fringes. It is in very good condition. It was acquired from Miguel Angel Mendoza Tecum of Santiago Atitlán. W72 x L173 cm plus fringes. (8-240) $ 95. OBO
