Santiago Atitlán daily huipil. W84 x L180 cm opened. This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two violet cotton panels. All surface decoration is by hand embroidery. There is extensive beadwork woven into the embroidered flowers around the head hole. It is stylistically modern with large realistic birds and flowers outside the traditional grid pattern.
