Santiago Atitlan corte. (wrap skirt)

This fine corte was hand woven on a foot treadle loom in one weft-striped panel. It features extensive and intricate ikat dye patterns. Cortes are often used as yardage. This beautiful example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sra. Juana Mateo Rosales at her stall in Tinamit Maya in Panajachel. W. 78 x L 342 cm. (23-38) $125 or best offer.
