Santiago Atitlan daily huipil.

This circa-2000 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well-matched warp-striped lavender cotton panels. The floral and bird surface decorations are all hand embroidered. The design is modern in that the birds are realistic and have escaped the grid pattern of the base. This beautiful example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from an important private collection in Guatemala. W 76 x L 66 cm. (19-79) $ 320. OBO
