Santiago Atitlán corte (wrap skirt). Weft (2 panels) 97 x warp 400 cm opened. This post-1980 corte was hand woven on a foot treadle loom in two
matching cotton panels. Typical of Santiago Atitlán cortes, the panels are not equal width, with a main panel (80 cm) and a narrow add-on (17 cm).
This corte features the very fine ikat dye patterns for which Santiago Atitlan is famous. It is in very good condition. It was acquired from
Petronila Mendez Bocó at the Artesanos market in Antigua Guatemala. (11-179) $ 110. Sold.
