Santiago Atitlán huipil de niña.

This pre-1980 girl's huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two white warp-striped cotton panels. The horizontal stripes are supplementary brocade. The decoration is all hand embroidered and features abstract bird and plant motifs. This example is in good condition. It was acquired from Maria Pol of Chichicastenango at the “bomberos” textile market in Panajachel. W60 x L48 cm. (11-147) $ 40. OBO
