This post-1980 corte was hand woven on a foot treadle loom in two warp striped cotton panels joined by ”randas”, colorful hand embroidered decorative seams. The base thread is indigo dyed. This classic example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Bonifacia Mendez Bocó of Santa Maria de Jesus at her space in the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua Guatemala.
