Santa Maria de Jesus ceremonial huipil.
This pre-1980 ceremonial huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well matched cotton panels. It is extensively decorated
supplementary brocade in diamond patterns characteristic of Santa Maria de Jesus daily huipils. Much of the brocade is in silk, indicating ceremonial
use. The neck and arm openings are trimmed in velvet. It has a zipper front opening. This classic example is in very good condition.
It was purchased from the Nim Po’t Collection of Antigua Guatemala. W68 x L140 cm opened. (6-369) $ 85. OBO
