Santa Maria Chiquimula daily huipil. W94 x L1116 cm opened. This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two cotton panels. The panels are joined by a seam that is partially decorated with multi-colored hand embroidery. This embroidery pattern also decorates the shoulders. The neck hole is also decorated with hand embroidery. These huipils are uncommon if not rare. It is in very good condition. It was collected from Ana Carolina Ajanel of Chichicastenango.
