San Raymundo Sacatepequez daily huipil.
This huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two wide warp-striped cotton base.
These panels are decorated by complex supplementary brocade featuring animal, bird and plumed serpent motifs. San Raymundo huipils
are similar to larger nearby San Juan, but with more purple and greater color variety. The head opening here is trimmed with velvet.
San Raymundo huipils are uncommon. This fine example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from an anonymous private collection
